Rob Cunningham, a 1987 graduate of Winfield High School, holds a Bachelor’s of Business Administration (BBA) Degree in Finance and Business Law and an Associate’s Degree in Police Science from Marshall University. While attending Marshall University, Mr. Cunningham was a three-year letterman in football. He is a twenty-five plus year veteran of state and federal law enforcement and has been the recipient of numerous national-level awards for investigative excellence, bravery, and selfless public service. Mr. Cunningham is a current board member of the Winfield Volunteer Fire Department and active in his children’s extracurricular athletic activities. Mr. Cunningham is married and has three children.

R. “Calvin” Damron, II is a 23-year resident of Putnam County who owns and operates Henderson Insurance Inc of Hurricane. He is married to Kristi Henderson Damron, a secretary at Scott Teays Elementary. Calvin & Kristi have two children, Carter who is a graduate of HHS and a sophomore at WVU & Caroline who is a sophomore at HHS. Calvin attended public schools from K-12 having graduated from Matewan High School in 1991 and attended both West Virginia University and Marshall University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration in 1997.

Bruce Knell graduated from Poca High School in 1971. He received his Bachelor of Science from West Virginia State College in 1975. He graduated with a Master of Science degree in Secondary Education from Marshall in 1984 and earned an additional 45 graduate credit hours. Bruce has 40 years of experience teaching in the Putnam County School System. He served as a coach and athletic trainer for 35 years.

Christian Wells

Christian graduated from Winfield High School in 1993. He received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from WVU soon thereafter and began a career as a civil engineer for a large engineering firm with a local office. Christian then moved on to work for a large local general contractor in Putnam County. Eventually, he decided to go to work with his father Terry Wells at their family-owned general contracting and wireless business. Over the years, they’ve built their company into the leading wireless contractor in the region. Christian is very happily married to Kristen Wells. Their children, Emerson and Case, attend school in Winfield. The Wells family are members of Winfield Baptist and are very active in local sports with their children.
